Alu Menziken Successfully Achieves EPD Certification for Four Aluminum Alloys
Alu Menziken has reached an important milestone on its path toward greater sustainability: the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for four key aluminum alloys has been successfully completed and officially verified by TÜV.
As part of the certification process, the following excellent CO₂ values were achieved for the individual alloys:
- EN AW‑6005: 2.0 kg CO₂/kg GWP
- EN AW‑6060: 2.62 kg CO₂/kg GWP
- EN AW‑6063: 2.7 kg CO₂/kg GWP
- EN AW‑6082: 2.2 kg CO₂/kg GWP
These results clearly demonstrate Alu Menziken’s consistent focus on resource‑efficient processes and a transparent, reliable environmental footprint across the entire product life cycle.
With the EPD certification, Alu Menziken is now able to offer its customers significantly CO₂‑reduced aluminum under the brand name continuAL.
This enables customers to rely not only on high‑quality aluminum products, but also on a solid and verified basis for their own sustainability and decarbonization strategies.
The successful certification represents another important step toward a cleaner environment and underlines Alu Menziken’s commitment to taking responsibility for future generations.
